Dry Morels

Morels mushrooms are prized by gourmet cooks, particularly for French cuisine, and its southern recipes. They are typically sold dried or canned. Due to their natural porousness, morels sometimes contain trace amounts of soil which cannot be washed out. One simple way to enjoy morels is by gently sauteeing them in butter, with some pepper and salt. Preparation: simply soak the morels until they reabsorb moisture.
